Bird & Pond Netting is a 14-foot by 14-foot black polypropylene mesh barrier for protecting a compact fruit tree, berry planting, garden bed, or pond area from bird access. It provides seasonal physical exclusion without a chemical repellent and can be cut or supported to fit the installation. The square sheet is useful where a full roll would create unnecessary excess material.
Install the net before feeding becomes established, but after pollination if the covered crop still needs insect access. Support it on a frame or over the plant canopy so growing tips and fruit do not press through the mesh. Pull the material taut, secure every edge, close overlaps, and eliminate loose folds that could entangle wildlife. Around ponds, maintain clearance from the water and provide a stable perimeter attachment. Inspect the installation frequently for gaps, sagging, storm damage, trapped leaves, or animal contact, and release any unintended capture promptly. Remove or adjust the net as plants grow, during harvest, and when the protected season ends. Store cleaned, dry netting away from sunlight and rodents for reuse.
