Pre-Plant Plus 7-5-7 in the original 50 lb package is a balanced, animal-based fertilizer for preparing vegetable beds, flowers, orchards, row crops, and larger planting areas. Its crumbled formula supplies nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and calcium for planned pre-plant fertility programs across several beds or successive plantings. The bulk package reduces the need to purchase multiple smaller bags.
The product is derived from feather meal, meat and bone meal, and mined potassium sulfate. Nutrients release gradually, making the bulk package useful for several beds, orchard plantings, or repeated applications when rates are calculated from soil conditions and crop needs. Account for nutrients already supplied by compost, cover crops, manure, or earlier fertilizer applications.
- 7-5-7 analysis with 4% calcium
- Published garden rate of 2–3 lb per 100 sq ft
- Bulk quantity for farms, orchards, and market gardens and orchard programs
- CDFA approved for use in certified organic production
This organic-use approval applies to the original 50 lb package only. The 5 lb repack is not represented as organic.

How Pre-Plant Plus 7-5-7 (50 lb) fits a fertility plan
- The 7-5-7 analysis supplies nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in a defined ratio for coordinated feeding.
- The dry format can be measured and distributed over beds, containers, lawns, trees, or field plantings as specified on the package.
- Its general-purpose profile can serve multiple crops, provided the labeled rate and soil conditions are appropriate.
Application guidance: Use the guaranteed analysis, current soil information, crop stage, and other fertilizer inputs to set the rate. Measure rather than estimating, distribute or dilute uniformly, water as directed, and keep concentrated material off leaves, stems, hardscape, and waterways unless the label specifically permits that placement.
