Safer Insecticidal Soap Concentrate is a pint-size contact insecticide and miticide made with potassium salts of fatty acids. After dilution, it controls label-listed soft-bodied pests such as aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, thrips, psyllids, immature scale, and mites on approved vegetables, fruits, ornamentals, trees, shrubs, and houseplants. The concentrate is economical for gardeners who need more spray volume than a ready-to-use bottle provides.
Insecticidal soap works only when the spray contacts the target pest, so careful scouting and thorough coverage are important. Mix fresh solution at the label rate and wet infested plant surfaces, including leaf undersides and growing tips where insects shelter. Once the spray has dried, it does not provide extended residual control; inspect plants and repeat only at the interval permitted on the label. Avoid treating drought-stressed plants or spraying during unsuitable temperatures. Some cultivars and tender growth may be sensitive, so check the crop restrictions and test a small area when appropriate.
