Trimmit 2SC is used to reduce turfgrass vertical growth and mowing frequency, improve turf density and color, reduce scalping potential, improve ball playability on hybrid bermudagrass, enhance fertilizer performance when used as directed with nitrogen fertility, and suppress the growth and competitive ability of Poa annua. Seedhead formation is not prevented by Trimmit 2SC and should be managed by mowing as needed.
Application Notes
Apply Trimmit 2SC uniformly to actively growing turf using at least 1 gal of spray solution per 1,000 sq ft; 2 to 3 gal per 1,000 sq ft is recommended for best results. For best performance, apply approximately 0.25 inch of irrigation within 24 hours after application to move the product from foliage to the soil surface. Growth reduction typically becomes visible within 3 to 10 days.
Rates vary by turf species and use pattern. Cool-season turf excluding putting greens is generally treated at 0.25 to 0.50 lb active ingredient per acre, bentgrass putting greens at 0.10 to 0.25 lb active ingredient per acre, and overseeded bermudagrass at 0.10 to 0.16 lb active ingredient per acre. For Poa annua suppression, apply 16 to 32 fl oz per acre when Poa annua is actively growing. Do not apply more than 4 qt per acre per year. Do not use on residential lawns, and follow all label-specific turf, timing, fertility, irrigation, and use precautions.
